Thingy, aka "TheFlash", is a member of the Mario Kart Players' Page Forum and The-Elite AIM Chat.

Karting History

Thingy played MKDD in 2006 and 2007, and has times up for MK64 as well.

Community History

Thingy helped with the Karter Contest 2K10. In addition he has completed several small projects to help the board/community.

The Elite

Thingy's attended two VA Meets and frequently visits chat to discuss the latest gaming news.

-Scott was brought to the MK sites while playing [[MKDD]], and instantly knew it was a great place.  He played MKDD very regularly for 9 months, peaking at around 80th in the world, and #10 USA.  His times have earned him a Hero A ARR.

 ==Community History==
-Scott found the message boards an interesting aspect of the Mario Kart Players' Pages from day one.  He joined the message board in July 2006, and now has over 2500 posts.  He claims to have read every single post in General, MKDD, Board Problems, MKW, and the Karter Contest 2k6 and 2k8 sections of the forum.  He has over 150 MSN and AIM contacts from the Kart Sites.

-Scott also found out there was an IRC channel for the Mario Kart community.  He first was able to figure out how to join in August 2006.  Scott has been the top typist in there since he first joined, with over 100,000 lines.  He worked for months trying to raise attendance for the IRC channel, making forum topics and trying other methods.  Finally he succeeded in April 2008, by putting up a [http://irc.wrvids.com Java IRC client]!  This increased membership greatly, and allowed many new people to visit.
-Scott played [[Drew Blumfield|Duff]]'s IRC trivia bot the most from August 2006 until now, accumulating over 2000 points.  He also mastered [[Robin Usher]]'s Mario Kart Trivia Bot, being the first to reach 10,000 points.
 ==The Elite==
-Scott first joined The Elite's AIM Chat in 2007, but didn't become a regular visitor until early 2008.  He made it into the elite's 2008 summer contest as a member of the short bus play-in match, but was eliminated.  He loves asking ridiculous questions in the AIM chat, and enjoys all the activities.  Scott tries his hardest every night in [[2008 First Vote|First Vote]], and loves to play [[KotH]] when a round is on.
