Karel van Duijvenboden
Karel van Duijvenboden is a Super Mario Kart player, an active forum poster (where he currently goes by "KVD"), and a news updater on the SMK non-NBT site. He is the reigning Time Trial World Champion for both the NTSC & PAL version. Furthermore, he won the SMK POY award in 2004, and his SMK skills have earned him the nickname "SMK machine". He is also one of the best at non-NBT, where he is ranked 2nd in PAL.
Karel also enjoy playing other games such as Pro Evolution Soccer, F-Zero X (current World rank #87), Mario Kart Super Circuit (current world rank #19) and Grand Theft Auto series.
In professional life Karel studies Medical Cell Biology at the University of Leiden and is currently in the final year of his Masters.
