Matthijs ten Ham
Matthijs ten Ham is one of the most popular and respected members of The Elite and has accomplished plenty since he joined in late 2000. Despite all his gaming success, he is still best known for being just so incredibly darn likeable. Every single person who has started a conversation with the man reports having become his good friend by the time the convo was over. This was probably best expressed after his terrible knee injury at the end of 2002, when the outpouring of good luck wishes on the Elite Boards was just tremendous.
Apart from being a great guy, Matthijs is one of the true Pillars of the Elite, at one point being the Goldeneye news updater at the-elite.net, where he was also the top European Proof Moderator, GE Forum moderator, and multimedia manager. His Goldeneye accomplishments include many World Records, several of which were untied, and he peaked at 3rd place in August 2003. He joined the Perfect Dark ranks in 2001, where he got off to a great start before returning to GE. Along with Mark Jones and Derek Clark, he was one of the staff members and Proof Moderators of Mario Kart: Double Dash in the early days of the community. He competed as well, reaching the Top 15.
