Hendrik Bunde

Hendrik Bunde is a German Mario Kart: Double Dash!! player.

He joined the MKDD Player's Page in October 2005, at #7 with 4 WRs. Because of his ery high debut and lack of proof, he was met with doubt and quickly removed from the rankings. A few weeks later, he returned with a set of videos to prove his talents, and was placed at #5 in the rankings. He reached #2 by January, and briefly reached #1 in early Feb. Raphaël Ségas came back to defend his title, and reclaimed #1 within a week.

Hendrik and Raphaël then proceeded to swap the #1 position 5 more times between each other over the course of the next couple of months, with Hendrik taking the final exchange at the end of May (Raphaël was known to be interested in MKDS at the same time). He then kept the title for a month, until Richard Karlsson burst into the scene and interrupted their game of tag.

Hendrik passed Richard to take the title again after spending 22 days in the second spot. He then swapped places with Vincent van der Fluit several times over the next week, but Vince ended up ganing the upper hand, and Richard Karlsson also made a comback, taking the #1 spot, leaving Hendrik in 3rd place. Soon after, Hendrik passed Vince to move up to #2, and has swapped with Richard several times over the next few months, eventually gaining the upper hand in February 2007. Recently he was passed by Aron Langerak. Hendrik is currently #2 with eight WRs. As of 29-03-2007, he has held the title for a combined period of 229 days, and is in 3rd place on the all time list. When the split rankings were introduced at the start of 2007, Hendrik started playing 60Hz and has reached #3 with four 60Hz WRs.

There was rumour that Hendrik may have been a frustrated-Marius Mollenhauer, playing in 50Hz, to compete with the many top 50Hz players. This was not far-fetched, as Marius was the only person to have contact with Hendrik. But Hendrik created a forum account and posted several times, removing most of the doubt. Despite how quiet and distant he is, he is well-liked by much of the community.
