Robin Usher

Robin Usher is a player of many Mario Karts, an active forum poster, and a staff member.

In April 2003, Robin joined the Mario Kart 64 Player's Page at the rank of Newbie F. He improved slowly at first, making his way up to Semi-Pro in the summer of 2004. He took a break from MK64 for about a year, then came back the next summer and quickly rose up to Elite before stopping again. He didn't play much for the next two years, mostly because he fried his N64's power cable, but he returned in April 2007 and improved again, this time reaching King.

Robin has also joined the sites for Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and Mario Kart DS. He is one of the few people to be ranked on all five sites and is #143 on the Combined Rankings, but he has never spent much time on these other games because he knows that the Kart = Chicks equation is really only true for MK64.

Robin's claim to fame will probably never be his Mario Kart skills. He is better known for the various contributions he's made to the kart community. Robin is one of the few Japanese members of the community, and he translated the join pages for the MKDD and MKDS sites into Japanese. He has also helped out with contacting Japanese players. Robin became a staff member in Summer 2004, when he created the MK64 Rivalries. Alex Penev later added a rivalry section based on Robin's model to the other 4 kart sites, which are updated automatically, but Robin still updates the MK64 rivalries himself. Robin also has updated the times sheets for two years and recently took over distributing POW awards. On the forums, Robin has organized occasional Alternative Challenge Competitions, including the All-MK Team Tournament and the annual MK64 Challenges.
