Spirit Temple (adult Link)

The Spirit Temple is the eighth dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time although it can be completed out of turn. The dungeon is divided into two parts which can be considered separately; young Link must complete his half before adult Link can finish the dungeon off.

Speed guide

There are five silver rupees in the room with the rolling rocks. Jump out and do a jumping attack - or use the Hover Boots - to get the first, then get the one to the left, then the two to the right, then the other one on the left... You might find you can Longshot your way back across the room as a quicker alternative to running.

There's a corridor where a Like Like drops from the ceiling. Ignore it - run around it to the right. Ignore the flying pots, too, as they contain hearts. Longshoot to the top of the wall.

In the room above it, ignore the invisible Wallmaster. You can keep it pinned behind the mirror as you rotate it if you pick the handle to use carefully.

Play Zelda's Lullaby on the gigantic statue's left hand, then Longshoot to the Small Key on its right hand. Longshoot the torch at the top of the stairs, and unlock the door.

In the room with three Anubises, first bomb the Beamos, then cast Din's Fire on the coloured square nearest the Small Key door. This should take out all three Anubises at once.

The Iron Knuckle is again susceptible to Power Crouch Stabs, but you are now at risk from horizontal swipes, because you're taller. If you're fast, however, you can get in one quick stab after each jumping attack.

In the room with the sliding walls, you can just Longshoot your way to the very top instantly, tee hee.

In the Boss Key Room, run against the fire slug at the far left to take a little damage and be rendered temporarily invulnerable. Quickly open the chest (you'll take a little more damage after receiving the Boss Key). This saves a lot of messing about with switches.

In the room with the two turning mirrors, ignore the lizards and skulls. Be sure to push the first mirror twice, and the second mirror once only.
