Josh "JDBlack21" Schwarz (b. Joshua Daniel Schwarz, October 25, 1999) (aka. JD, Dizzle, JoJ, JeeJ, etc.) is a GoldenEye and Perfect Dark speedrunner who is currently ranked inside the top 25 in GE point rank.

Schwarz discovered The Elite in mid 2017 and joined the rankings in late 2017. Since then he has achieved several world records in both games, including the Untied World Record of Surface 2 00 Agent 1:20.

Early Career

Schwarz began his speedrunning career in early 2017 by speedrunning the popular flash game, The World's Hardest Game. Having been a prominent figure in the cup stacking community, another hobby that emphasizes speed, he was attracted quickly to a lot of speedrunning content. Eventually, he discovered GoldenEye speedrunning videos suck as Ryan Lockwood's Streets 1:12 and RWhiteGoose's Speedlore episodes. Schwarz first attempted to speedrun GoldenEye through a random emulator he found online, which ran very poorly and wasn't a great experience. After spending all of July 2017 using this emulator, he eventually stopped.

In November 2017, however, Schwarz returned to the Elite and was quickly welcomed by the young upstart Irie Butler. Schwarz enjoyed Irie's daily streams and joined Irie's discord where he had his first interactions with other players. In December, Schwarz received his speedrunning equipment for GoldenEye, and posted his first times on December 27th.

2018: First Rankings Rise and Century Club

Schwarz achieved his first points on the rankings on January 1st, 2018, with Runway Agent 0:23, worth 9 points at the time. He followed this up with Depot Agent 0:26. He spent most of the first half of the year filling out his timespage and gaining points wherever he could.

Schwarz achieved his first World Record on April 12, 2018, with Runway Agent 0:22, after a ~40 hour grind over a couple months.

He was a first round pick in the annual Summer League, having amassed nearly 1000 points in 5 months. Early into league, on June 10th, he achieved Surface 2 Agent 0:47 as a world record. Schwarz also received his Perfect Dark cartridge around this time, promising many more points throughout the time of League. However, in July 2018, with the stress of preparing for college, Schwarz decided to take a break until he was settled in.

Schwarz would hardly play the rest of the year. On September 3rd, he would achieve Bunker 1 Agent 0:17 as a World Record, but Karl Jobst would untie 0:16 just five hours later. In November, the new Investigation bot zoom strat would be discovered, and Schwarz would quickly achieve 1:05 on Agent, worth 94 points when set, and 2:08 on Special Agent, worth 89 points when set. This would bring a lot of attention to Schwarz, showing his potential and skill on the level. It was also around this time where he would be invited to the unhoard Century Club, led by BK, including runners Yendis, Happens, and guest starring Pauliwood, DuskyLW, and Dr. Light. Schwarz accepted, only achieving one time for it in 2018.

2019: Century Club Reveal, More World Records and Project 2020

Schwarz purchased a new 13" CRT TV, reigniting his interest to grind again. He achieved several more times for Century Club, and also began playing for Investigation Agent 1:03, a World Record only tied by Illu, Karl, Boss, and Clemens. On March 13th, 2019, he would finally achieve the 1:03 he sought for over 85 hours of grinding. This was only less than three weeks before the unhoard of Century Club, so he had the idea to fake that he was going to unhoard Investigation Agent 1:02, and then switch to a video of him achieving Duel Perfect Agent 0:09, also a world record but an extremely easy one and considered a "meme time." This would be one of the highlights of the unhoard, along with the several other times Schwarz achieved.

Schwarz would continue to improve his point rank in both GoldenEye and Perfect Dark throughout the year. He would achieve two more World Records that year: Runway Secret Agent 0:22 on May 10th, and Surface 2 Agent 0:46 on July 22nd. He would also captain the Summer League team "#ZOOMERS", which finished 6th out of 7th place.

In September, Schwarz received an invite from Yendis to a new unhoard, Project 2020. Schwarz accepted, and was greeted by BK, Dr. Light, JoeyHBG, Calle, Ace, and Wouter. JD would only achieve two times for this unhoard in November: Investigation Perfect Agent 2:35 and Air Force One Special Agent 1:19. Part of this was that Schwarz's console would break in late November and had to buy a new one

2020-present: Rising Rankings, World Record Rampage, and First Untied

The first half of 2020 was a quiet one for Schwarz, who didn't rise much far in either game. He dedicated most of Summer League to improving his Perfect Dark rank, which he succesfully did. During this League, he achieved Defection Agent 0:05 on June 21st, and Cradle Agent 0:33 on June 23rd.

On August 17th, while randomly cycling through levels, he achieved Cradle Secret Agent 0:33, requiring only a single Trev kill to get it. The next morning he naturally played 00 Agent, and miraculously achieved 0:33 there after only four Trev kills. It was at this point he decided to focus his attention on achieving world records.

On August 20th, he achieved Surface 1 Agent 1:02. He then played Streets Agent for 1:11, which proved to be difficult. But he would finally achieve it on September 13th after 76 hours.

Around this time, the new Surface 2 strategy to shoot the Comms link through the wall. Just like Investigation, Schwarz decided to grind this strategy out. He would achieve untieds on the LTK and DLTK difficulties, and then focused his attention to 00 Agent. He did not initially expect to beat the then current record of 1:21, especially since top 10 players such as Clemens, Wodahs, Gus, and Illu were playing for it as well. But on September 25th, he remarkably achieved his first Untied with a 1:20. Even crazier was that, eariler that day, he had also achieved the world record of Caverns Agent 1:01. This would prove to be one of the best single days by any eliter.

On September 27th, Schwarz would complete the World Record Sweep of Surface 2 by achieving Secret Agent 0:47. Finally, to finish off his world record rampage by achieving Depot Agent 0:23, on October 2nd. This would be a legendary run as Schwarz missed the train shot on the run, meaning that the rest of the run was basically perfectly executed.

Schwarz is currently working on achieving top 20 in GoldenEye. He is currently ranked 24th in GoldenEye and 37th in Perfect Dark point ranks.
