Mark Jones is the current domain administrator for the Mario Kart Players' Page. He currently pays for hosting and domain registration costs and works with other staff in making important decisions that impact the overall karting community.
Career Highlights
- Mark joined the Mario Kart 64 Players' Page in June of 2001 and earned 5 POW awards in 8 competitive weeks of playing stretched across 6 months - ending his competitive career ranked in the top 20 universal (non-shortcut and shortcut combined) rankings.
- He competed in and briefly held WRs/SRs in Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart DS.
- Mark currently holds the Shy Guy Beach FLap non-sc record (with tree-tricking rules allowed) at 0'13"53*.
- In November of 2003, Mark won a local Mario Kart Double Dash tournament in Southern California where he received a Nintendo T-Shirt, Nintendo Hat and copy of Mario Kart Double Dash which he traded in for Mario Party 5.
Contributions
- In August of 2001, Mark founded the original (and now defunct) Mario Kart Super Circuit Players' Page which has since been redesigned by Alex Penev and is currently maintained by Tom Gaffikin.
- In February of 2003, Mark created the Mario Kart Players' Page Messageboard and still serves as its primary administrator.
- In November of 2003, Mark founded the Mario Kart Double Dash Players' Page which has since been redesigned by and is currently maintained by Alex Penev.
Personal
Mark enjoys golfing, playing guitar, losing extreme amounts of weight, playing softball, running, lifting weights, being completely amazing, computer programming, being a genius hacker, dating cute girls, threatening Jason Whalls with the Hammers of Hell, making fun of Kevin Booth and relentlessly whipping Alex Penev whenever Mark senses that he is slacking off.
