Resident Evil is a Survival/Horror game released in March of 1996 by Capcom for the Sony Playstation and later ported to the Sega Saturn. Because of significant changes, the 2002 GameCube REmake of this game is listed seperately.
Speed Runs
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Resident Evil competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game low percentage speedrun as Jill is 1 hour, 9 minutes and 17 seconds, achieved by Brandon "19Duke84" Armstrong on May 28th, 2005. The record for best Arrange-mode run as Chris is 1 hour, 36 minutes and 22 seconds, while the best Arrange-mode completion as Jill is 1 hour, 29 minutes and 5 seconds. Both times were achieved by Damien "Dragondarch" Moody in October of 2004.
