Chrono Trigger is an RPG released in August of 1995 by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was later ported to the Sony Playstation, and the series continued with Chrono Cross.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Chrono Trigger competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game CT speedrun is 4 hours and 56 minutes, achieved by David "marshmallow" Gibbons on October 26th, 2005. marsh also holds the WRs for fastest 100% completion (6 hours and 31 minutes) and best New game + run (7 minutes and 50 seconds).
