MICHAEL ARENDS

Michael Arends is an active Mario Kart player and is on 3 of the 8 player pages; Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart D.S., and Mario Kart 7. Michael is good at Mario Kart D.S. and Mario Kart 7, but is an amazing Mario Kart 64 player. Michael is also known for his speedrunning is ALBW (A Link Between Worlds) where he has 4 world reco... wait just beat one... 3 world records. Just recently Michael bought the game Gradius for the NES and has already broken the what was already a strong and nice wr. He is also an active participant on the mariokart64.com message boards, (you can find the boards here, http://www.mariokart64.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl ) where he has nickname Yoshistar 95. He is a very friendly and enthusiastic member there, as he is a great friend who will always be glad to offer help.

MARIO KART 64

Why not start off with a bang! Best for first! I'll show you what Michael is all about! Mario Kart 64... a lot of people's favourite game. It's very competitive and fun while it holds that old nice vintage video game feel, also known as addiction, and Michael may not be your typical Mario Kart player, but he is no exception! Michael is no doubt, not just a karter... but an enthusiast. Over the 2014 year he has started taking down many "GOD" standard times and has now achieved the ultimate zero with 32/32 non-sc GODS!!!!!! He is now the 19th GOD! He has also taken down some Halford Standards. This year he has managed to make his way to 26th Non-SC, cutting off 70 ranks, and 69th SC (Short Cut). Now currently holding 26 Non-SC Gods and 5 SC Gods, which included him being the 10th person to hit Frappe Snowland 3lap GOD, but perhaps his best SC time is Yoshi Valley flap (fast lap) which is also a GOD, and ranked currently at 8th. For Halford Standards Michael has a few very good times especially his Sherbet Land 3lap time that is currently ranked 3rd in the world with a Halford Standard 8. Michael has received many POW (Players of the week) awards and even some POM (Player of the Month) awards for his great achievements and is ranked 76th for his awards. Obviously Michael is a great karter and the best part is that he did all this in under 2 years! As he joined the site February 18th 2013.

Halford Standards

Michael has a Halford Standard average ranking of 2.28 giving him a ranking of 26th on the charts.

POW Awards

Michael's progress did not go unnoticed as he has many great awards! This year alone he won the POM in August and won a POW in week 3 November. Overall he has won 5 POWs and 1 POM giving him a total of 8 points and a ranking of 76.

MARIO KART D.S.

Don't have too much information here, but I can tell you this! He is currently ranked 512th on the AF chart with a score of 564.391. He is also ranked 549th in ARR with a score of 27.1094 giving him an overall standard of intermediate b. Finally Michael is ranked is ranked 532nd in PR/SR with a score of 0.81639. So as you can see Michael is not the best player here, but that’s because of mk64!

MARIO KART 7

This is the other mario kart where Michael is a member on the players page. He only has 12 times, but has managed a 276 at a beginner b ranking.

A LINK BETWEEN WORLDS

In ALBW Michael currently has two world record ties, on treacherous tower beginner(TTB) and treacherous tower intermediate(TTI). On TTB Michael may be tied with 10 others (soon to be 11 if you catch my drift XD) but that doesn't make the world record any worse for Michael as he was the first one to hit that great time of 7 seconds. On TTI he is also the first one to hit the tine of 42 seconds and is only tied with one other person here.

GRADIUS

I don't know much about this game, but Michael's perseverance has sure inspired me to go get it! In Gradius, you're in some fancy space ship shooting stuff. But Michael, he shot so much stuff so fast he ended up with this crazy nice wr that made everyone go like "I WAS LIKE WAAAAAAAA" (I had to put that in somewhere :P) ending up with a score of 10,727,000!!! Anyway, this nice wr was a huge feat as he had done it in only a matter of weeks!

CONCLUSION
