Casinopolis is an action stage in Sonic Adventure. It's Sonic's 3rd stage, Tails's 2nd, and Knuckles's 2nd.

Speed Tips

Sonic

You're supposed to collect 400 rings and deposit them in the vault before you walk up to the capsule. That takes a long time, so it makes sense to skip it! Even though there's an invisible barrier guarding the capsule, you can laugh at it and go around. Because more of the walls and floors are solidified on GameCube, those players have to take a different path, one that's disadvantaged by about 15 seconds.

Either way, start by jumping onto the pedestal to the left of the information booth. Jump from there onto the top of the Slot & Pinball machine. Get onto the angled face of the slot machine decoration, and use the tilt to do a spindash jump left and around the sides of the room, hopefully landing on the roof of the entrance to the vault. Go to the other side of the hump, and use that angled surface to spindash jump, going around the solid floor of the upper level, and finally moving back to land on the upper level.

---BEGIN DIVERSION---

Dreamcast: This one's easy. The walls of that big gray room next to you are entirely fake, so get into the corner and do a spindash jump through the fake wall as far as you can. You'll see the golden vault room ahead. Try to land in the back of that room, behind the invisible wall.

GameCube: Go forward and right, to the pirate ship. Jump onto the angled surface of the cannon, and spindash jump from there so that you land on the front of the ship. Charge a Light Dash and hold it, then--since there are two spindash buttons, B and X--use the other button to spindash normally. Release both buttons then press B and X again along with A to hold the light dash, release the spindash, and jump. Release the light dash when you get near the other side, and hopefully you'll land on the roof of the gray room. Get into the back corner of that room and spindash into the wall to jam yourself through the corner. From here, try to fall into the back of the vault room

---END DIVERSION---

Now that you're here, it's time for the hardest part of the run. The game really doesn't want you back here without paying the 400-ring toll, and about 90% of the time, you'll be rejected back through the invisible wall at some random point, meaning you have to go through all this over again. But occasionally, you'll be able to land that one perfect jump onto the capsule without being rejected, and claim your time for good.

Tails

Dreamcast players have an advantage with Sonic in this stage. It's only fair that GameCube players get a bonus with Tails, right? There's no invisible ceiling at the start on GameCube, enabling a path whereby those players can break out of the opening room and go free-flying out of bounds for most of the stage, while Dreamcast players are stuck with the traditional path. It's a difference of about 30 seconds, which is huge on this stage.

Knuckles

This is a treasure-hunting stage. The general hunting tips apply. The best locations are:

1. This is on top of the triangular directory structure, in front of the vault room. Glide in a straight line and jump high enough to get on it, then turn, jump to grab the piece, and head towards...

2. In the string of enemies leading to the vault. You want the 3rd-closest enemy; it'll be a bit to the left. You need to get this in one try after the successful piece 1, or else you go back to the beginning and you have to retrace all your steps again, wasting time.

3. In the Sonic statue. Restart before attempting this, to go back to the starting location. Do one quick glide toward the center to get up to speed, then jump just before the stairs down and glide to make it to the top of the center structure. You'll be on the wrong side of the statue's foot, so jump over the foot and land next to the statue's weak spot. To get the piece in the fastest way, face some direction other than the weak spot, press B twice, then turn to face the weak spot and press B a third time. As the statue falls (and your path to the piece is now open) you'll be thrust forward to grab the piece.
