Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is a Stealth TPS released in March of 2003 by Konami for the Playstation 2 and Microsoft Xbox. It is a remake, with additions, of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The series continued with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Speedrun

The Speed Demos Archive hosts MGS2: Substance competition. The current proven World Record for a speedrun of MGS2S's Snake Tales missions are as follows. All WRs are currently held by Matt "jaegar" Trent, and add up to 1 hour and 9 minutes of total time.

  • Big Shell Evil - 15 minutes and 37 seconds
  • Confidential Legacy - 13 minutes and 37 seconds
  • Dead Man Whispers - 11 minutes and 9 seconds
  • External Gazer - 18 minutes and 16 seconds
