A machine gun in Perfect Dark, carried by Carrington Institute soldiers. The "AR" stands for "Assault Rifle" and this is the spiritual successor of the AR33 Assault Rifle which appeared in GoldenEye 007, although they don't have a huge amount in common. This weapon carries 30 bullets; it has a medium firing speed, packs a medium punch and (despite its zoom lens) is very inaccurate at long range, though accuracy increases if you crouch. It is usually overshadowed by other weapons, though it occasionally has its uses, notably on CI and Attack Ship.
The secondary function, "move while scoped" is largely useless.
