Super Metroid

Super Metroid is an Action/Platformer released in April of 1994 by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The series continued with Metroid Prime.

Speed Runs

The Speed Demos Archive hosts Super Metroid competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game SM speedrun is 36 minutes, achieved by Smokey on June 15th, 2004. Smokey also holds the Single-Segment record of 38 minutes, and the 100% WR, at 55 minutes.
