Sonic 3 and Knuckles is an Action/Platformer released in 1994 by Sega for the Sega Genesis. The first half of the game was released in January as Sonic the Hedgehog 3 while the second half came out in October as Sonic & Knuckles.
Speed Runs
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Sonic 3 and Knuckles competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game S3&K speedrun as Sonic 49 minutes and 37 seconds, achieved by Mike McKenzie on November 29th, 2006. Mike also hold the record for fastest completion as Knuckles, at 36 minutes and 55 seconds.
