Mega Man X is an Action/Platformer released in December of 1993 by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The series continued with Mega Man X2.

The Speed Demos Archive hosts Mega Man X competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game MMX speedrun is 34 minutes and 51 seconds, achieved by Freddy Andersson on October 9th, 2004. The record for fastest 100% completion is 39 minutes and 41 seconds, set by Freddy Andersson on June 7th, 2006.
