Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is an Action/Platformer released in September of 1990 by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was preceded by Castlevania and Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, and followed by countless other CV titles.
Speed Runs
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Castlevania III competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game CV3 speedrun is 32 minutes and 57 seconds, achieved by Tom "rdrunner" Votava in October of 2003. That same month, Tom also set records for fastest runs with Alucard (29:47), Grant (34:21), and Syfa (32:55).
