Pikmin is a Real Time Strategy game released in December of 2001 by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. The series continued with Pikmin 2.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Pikmin competition. Because many players have beaten the game in the minimum amount of time (9 in-game days), the challenge is to complete a "low %" run in that fastest time, meaning only 50 total pikmin are used. Peter "Dragorn" Branam-Lefkove completed this impressive feat on August 16th, 2004.
