Area 51 is a First Person Shooter released in April of 2005 by Midway for the PC. The game is a sequel to (not a direct port of) the arcade classic of the same name.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Area 51 competition. The previous World Record for a full-game run, achieved by Kevin "Mitsukai" Shropshire on May 28th, 2005, was recently proven to be cheated. Current best time is 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 19 seconds, is held by Peter "Kibumbi" Knutsson on 2007-08-10 for a full-game speedrun.
