Metal Slug X is a 2D Shooter released in April of 2001 by SNK for the Sony Playstation. It is a re-release of the original, first seen in 1999 on the Neo-Geo and in Arcades. The series began with Metal Slug and has continued with countless sequels.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Metal Slug X competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game MSX speedrun is 14 minutes and 14 seconds, achieved by Philippe "Suzaka" Henry in June of 2005. His levels times were as follows:
- Level One - 1 minute and 17 seconds
- Level Two - 2 minutes and 5 seconds
- Level Three - 2 minutes and 15 seconds
- Level Four - 1 minute and 48 seconds
- Level Five - 3 minutes and 14 seconds
- Level Six - 3 minutes and 30 seconds
