Castlevania: Lament of Innocence is an Action/Horror game released in October of 2003 by Konami for the Playstation 2. The series continued with many new titles across a variety of platforms.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Castlevania: LoI competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game LoI speedrun is 1 hour and 7 minutes, achieved by Damien "Dragondarch" Moody on May 3rd, 2005. Dragondarch also holds many other LoI WRs, including best 100% single-segment (1:50:19), best Joachim run (45:54), best 100% as Joachim (1:22:15), fastest Boss Rush (13:05), and fastest Joachim Boss Rush (14:41).
