Super C for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an action game that was released in April of 1990 by Konami.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts the two fastest speedrun for Super C. There are two types of speedrun for Super C. The first type aims to achieve the fastest time possible; this is often referred to as an any-percent speedrun. The second type aims to achieve the fastest time possible but without obtaining any items; this is often referred to as a low-percent speedrun. In a low-percent run, the player starts with the default gun (the default gun is sometimes referred to as the pea shooter) and uses only the default gun for the entire duration of the run.
The fastest time for an any-percent Super C speedrun is 14 minutes and 6 seconds, which was achieved by Jim Hanson on July 28, 2007.
The fastest time for a low-percent Super C speedrun is 16 minutes and 32 seconds, which was achieved by Ray "Croc-Doc" Cullen on June 4, 2007.
Speedrunning Super C is not for the weak. One speedrunner, who is known as stanski on the SDA forums, had this to say: "I tried running Super C on and off for a year and almost threw my NES out the window because of it. Let this be a lesson not to go into stage four with fire."
