Rygar is an Action/RPG released in July 1987 by Tecmo for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Arcade. The series continued with Rygar: The Legendary Adventure.

The Speed Demos Archive hosts Rygar competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game Rygar speedrun is 30 minutes and 30 seconds, achieved by Marc J. "Emptyeye" Dziezynski on July 10th, 2005.
