Even though he is naturally very competitive, Michael is never selfish when it comes to sharing strategies, as he considers it important to improve the overall strength of times in the game, not just his own.  He often explains strategies to people through AIM (mjf345) or MSN (mjf345_at_hotmail_dot_com), and sometimes posts detailed strategies on the forum without even being asked.  In all 5 Karts he's played, he's had a very good history of providing plenty of video proof.

Michael Fried is a Mario Kart player who competes in all 8 games, and is the former Combined Mario Kart champion. He is an active poster on the Mario Kart forum and occasionally hangs out in the IRC channel.

Mario Kart 64

Michael joined the MK64 site in April 2003. It was the first Mario Kart game that Michael competed in, and the game he considers himself best at. In 2005 he drove his first world record by landing the Rainbow Road spiral shortcut 3/3 with Bowser. In 2005 he also also drove a world record in Yoshi Valley non-shortcut fastlap, which stood for 7 years. In late 2005, he peaked at #5 non-shortcut and #9 shortcut.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Michael joined the MKDD site a few weeks after the game's release. He peaked at #5, and at one time held the Mushroom City world records.

Super Mario Kart

SMK was the first Mario Kart game that Michael played, but he did not join the SMK site until September 2005. In early 2008 he peaked at #20 NBT (NTSC) and #14 non-NBT (NTSC). He has held all 10 trick fastlap NTSC world records (not including MC2 Infinite Boost), and still holds some of them.

Mario Kart DS

Michael joined the MKDS site shortly after the game's release, immediately becoming world champion and dominating time trial mode for the first few months, at one time holding all 64 world records simultaneously. During this time he created the non-PRB standards. He held the title for 99 days, until losing it to Miguel Rodriguez. A few months later he regained the title for 2 weeks before losing it to Thomas Bolton. Sometime later he retired. He also competed in Non-MT and in mission mode, where he held many world records. He occasionally played wifi, but he preferred time trials. He created a clan and a Wifi ratings site which are no longer active.
