Hosted jointly by [[Andy Lundeen|Shock]] and [[Christophe Charignon|Lafungo]], it features '''112''' well known karting personalities made up of the '''21''' Message Board moderators and admins, and '''91''' nominees as nominated by the Mario Kart community.
Prior to Round 1 starting, the 112 karters, mods, and admins were seeded. This was done by community members PM'ing the hosts a list of 16 of the nominated entrants ranked 1-16. Via a scoring system based on these lists, a seed list was drawn up.
The top 16 were given a bye into Round 2, and the remaining 96 were drawn into 24 groups of 4. The top 2 of each group qualified for Round 2, where all matches (and in subsequent rounds) are 1v1 knockouts.
