Contra is a Platformer/Shooter released in February of 1988 by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The series continued with many titles, including Contra III: The Alien Wars.
Speed Runs
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Contra competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game Contra speedrun is 10 minutes and 40 seconds, achieved by Freddy "Frezy_man" Andersson on May 28, 2007.
