;New MT Tech: Straight MTs, Used in Mario Kart Double Dash by top ranked players due to its difficulty to perform correctly. When it was discovered is debatable, but was brought to the attention of the MKDD Players Page in early 2006 by JSX (Jean-Christophe Lacastaignerate) who proved it is indeed faster than the normal SSMT. It allows players to perform an SSMT without drifting side to side in a zig-zag pattern nearly as much by releasing the A-button for a short period which straightens out the kart without any loss of speed due to the release of the MT before letting go of the A-button.<br />
