'''Bottom of the Well''' is not required for a speed run, as the only important item you get is the Lens of Truth. With practice, both the [[Shadow Temple]] and the desert maze can be completed without it. However, if you are new to speed running and still need it, this guide should provide a quick way through the well.

After the [[Water Temple]], warp directly to Death Mountain. Walk down and collect the Nocturne of Shadow and the Song of Storms, then head back to Hyrule Castle for the Prelude of Light. As a kid collect Din's Fire if you don't already have it, then warp to the graveyard, go to the windmill and play the Song of Storms, and enter the Bottom of the Well.

Now that you're here, move down the ladder, kill to spider, and walk through the forward wall. Make your way to the back of the square hallway, stand on the triforce, and drain the water with Zelda's Lullaby. Return to the front of the square hallway and jump into the recently drained ditch. Crawl through the hole and make your way up the vines and through the door.

Before touching a hand, do a jump attack with a Deku stick to prepare for [[Power Crouch Stab]]s. Allow a hand to grab you, escape, and attack the zombie when it lowers its head using said Power Crouch Stab. Be fast at getting to him, or he'll just burrow again.

Once you beat him, you receive the Lens of Truth. Immediately warp to the Temple of Time and become an adult. From here, you can choose to either do the Shadow Temple immediately using the Nocturne of Shadow, or you can use the Serenade of Water to head to the Gerudo's Fortress. I suggest the latter option, which follows the layout of the rest of the guide.
