The 2003 Elite Summer Contest was known as The Original Edition. It was the first first Elite Summer Contest, and featured Eliters competing against one another in a GameFAQs-inspired popularity Contest, within an NCAA-style 64 man bracket.
The Contest kicked off at midnight CST on Sunday, June 1st of 2003. To vote, Eliters sent the name of their daily choice to Ngamer over AOL Instant Messenger at Cyber1166. To be eligable to vote, one of two conditions had to be met:
* Membership in the Goldeneye or Perfect Dark Elites.
* 100 posts on The Elite message boards.
