Nicholas (or Nick, as he is often called) has been an avid Nintendo player since the age of nine. In the early years of Nintendo 64 High Scores (usually abbreviated to N64HS) he was a frequent contributor of scores and occasionally walkthroughs. As of this writing he still has won more POD awards than any other player, despite his apparent refusal to award a POD to himself in favor of another player during his three-year tenure as administrator of N64HS.

When [[Iacopo Sorce]], the creator and first administrator of N64HS, announced that he was about to stop maintaining the site and take it down, Nick stepped in and told him that [[Andrew Kent]], a new player at the time, would probably be able to continue running it, as he had already been running a couple of his own high score pages for Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Bros. DX. He was right-- Andrew indeed stepped up and became the new administrator of N64HS.  Before long, even Andrew became too busy to maintain the site, so in 2003 Nick told Andrew that he would be willing to take control of N64HS himself after his upcoming graduation from high school. For a couple of months in 2003 [[Daniel Hasting]] was a temporary N64HS administrator, handling a small number of new scores. Then on May 25, 2003—the day immediately following Nicholas Harvey's high school graduation—Daniel transferred control of the Yahoo Geocities account he used to update N64HS to Nick, and Nick did his first update.

Under Nicholas Harvey, N64HS grew rapidly. Many new high score pages were created, including some for Nintendo games not released on the Nintendo 64, such as the continuation of the Mario Party series on the Nintendo GameCube.

Nicholas Harvey is an expert player at many of the games he plays, in addition to being a hard-working administrator of N64HS. Before Derek Kisman joined in early 2001, he held nearly every Nai WR in Yoshi's Story, which earned him many of his PODs. He also holds many WRs in the Mario Party series, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and most recently, in Super Mario Bros. DX, where he currently holds every world record, and players lucky enough to beat his scores very rarely keep their new world record for more than a few hours. He has also briefly held a few WRs in Star Fox 64. He has beaten more than 80 games for the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo Game Cube, although this really isn't a very large number of games, as other players such as René Elsässer and Derek Kisman have beaten many hundreds of games. He has high expectations of a game in its overall design and will quickly get bored with a game if it does not keep entertaining him, explaining why he has not really played a huge number of titles. Nick best excels at high score events rather than fast times; his relatively poor times for popular racing games such as Mario Kart 64 or F-Zero X are a testament to this. When he is not playing a game for a record high score, Nick just loves to fool around, often finding new tricks and glitches in his games.

He claims to have beaten the record of 16'48" at the [[Speed Demos Archive]], but has not yet been able to provide video proof of his record.
