At first thought it might seem like the best thing to do is to start quite low down and clip the springs with the stick at an angle. It is actually faster to start as high up as you can and hit the springs with your stick nearly flat. From there if you keep to the inside of the circle your time will be a lot faster, as you won't have to wait at all for the stick to rotate.
