He began the site in 1997, with the goal to create a home for all MK64 time trial fans. Many joined, and the site has since grown to hundreds of players, and spawned sister sites for the newer Mario Kart games. A unique thing back then was that everyone got his or her own profile page on the site. Kevin updated all profiles and charts manually, as well as the news. As the years passed, his dedication and accuracy declined. But with many different people coming in and offering help, his legacy has evolved into the community's current state. The MK64 Players' Page served as template for the SMK and MKDD sites, and has influenced several other popular high-score sites (fzerocentral, the-elite.net, N64HS).

Kevin's own karting career has also been impressive. His early videos of Rainbow Road are said to have enlightened Jason Engel towards discovering SSMTs. He was world champion in 1997 and 1998, and remained a top player in 1999. One of his most famous marks was 2'29"96 on Toad's Turnpike in 2000.
