He is currently ranked 5th in the combined ladder (50Hz + 60Hz), is five positions higher than the next best 60Hz player, and has claimed the Myth A [[MK Terminology|standard]]. Marius was also combined champion in mid-2005, and even though the title race between him, [[Jonathan Steel]] and [[Raphaël Ségas]] was a photo-finish, many considered him to be the stronger competitor at the time because he plays exclusively in 60Hz. He went inactive after becoming champion, and soon lost many places in the rankings. But he made an impressive comeback this year and has now 22 60Hz WRs back with a very low AF of 1,6.

Marius is famous in the [[mariokart64.com|karting community]] for his bravado and his humourous videos of his drunken philosophical lectures. His life philosophy involves something to do with not taking things too serious, drinking a serious amount of German beer, and ''snacking'' a serious amount of German beer girls (hey, don't look at me...).

Furthermore, he contested the [[Super Mario 64]] 16-star speedrun with a sub-19 minute time (which is still WR), and is also ranked 174th in [[GoldenEye]] by [[The Elite]] (his times are from 1998).
