Now I know what you're thinking: "How could there possibly be another Apes movie after the way Burton and Wahlberg murdered the franchise back in 2001?"  The answer is that this is a far-distant ''prequel''- it takes place in 2011 San Francisco, where doctors are genetically engineering a new drug that could potentially cure all forms of brain disease.  But of course they have to test this procedure out on monkeys, and when the apes begin to develop human-like characteristics, well....
