In early April 2009, Nick claimed his 2nd flap WR on the TF flap with 35:4xx, but was beaten a day later by Carlos Marcos, but on day after that on April 14th, Nick took it back with 35:261. To this day his flap has not been beaten and is currently one of the oldest flap WR's of MKWii. Later in 2009 Nick would pick up the KC and rBC flap WR's and would defend them a few times.

For a while, Nick was thought to be the best MKWii player without a 3lap WR (he had the most domination without ever getting a 3lap WR). This all changed on November 22nd, 2009. Nick finally achieved his first 3lap WR on the MT 3lap with 2:18.541, which is his favorite course. The previous record he beat was the current oldest WR beaten. Nick would continue to defend his WR two more times with 2:18.458 and 2:18.354 against the Japanese player ゼネル(Zenel)
