For unknown reasons, some of Benoit's YouTube videos got pretty popular for MK standards. As of this writing, all of his videos on YouTube combine for over 1.4 million views. This amount of traffic helped recruit great new karters such as [[Matt Tanzer]], [[Scott Abbey]] and [[Scott Dufault]] to name a few. Benoit also contributed picture-in-picture videos (gameplay+hands) for "MKDD for noobs", a site to help out karters starting with Time Trialing in MKDD. The site was created by [[Thomas van Leeuwen]], a dutch karter who happens to also be Benoit's biggest rival in MKDD (according to Benoit).
