Kevin began the Mario Kart site in 1997, with the goal to create a home for all MK64 time trial fans. Many joined, and the site has since grown to hundreds of players, and spawned sister sites for the newer Kart games. A unique thing back then was that everyone got his or her own profile page on the site. Kevin updated all profiles and charts manually, as well as the news. As the years passed, his personal involvement declined but his legacy has evolved into the community's current state. The MK64 Players' Page served as template for the [[Super Mario Kart]] and [[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]] sites, and has influenced several other popular high-score sites (fzerocentral, [http://www.the-elite.net the-elite.net] and [[N64HS]]).
