These rankings are widely criticized among the Goldeneye elite since they fail to take into respect the strength of a World Record. For example, Facility A 0:45 is a much stronger World Record, but is worth only 1 MVP second, whereas Silo 00A 1:29, a weaker record, is worth 3 MVP seconds. The ranks are also criticized due to their excessive gayness and the fact that no one really gives a shit about these.
These rankings are widely criticized among the Goldeneye elite since they fail to take into respect the strength of a World Record. For example, Facility A 0:45 is a much stronger World Record, but is worth only 1 MVP second, whereas Silo 00A 1:29, a weaker record, is worth 3 MVP seconds.
However, it is a completely objective ranking system and does show you who is contributing the most to lowering the total time, and thus encourages players to lower the total time objectively. So it still does hold a lot of merit. No rankings will satisfy everyone's opinion.
