World Record Strategy

The first thing you are going to want to do is go into options and set the weapon switching to never. The games seems to think that the electrotool is just as good as the lasergun, which is just very, very wrong. You don't want to accidenly pick up an electrotool halfway through the stage and have the gun switch just as you were about to make a kill. You may also want to use a custom control with the weapon switch on the L-Button(gamecube) or either of the left-shoulder buttons(PS2).

Next, you probably want to be playing this stage on the gamecube version, as there is one very good starting spawns and a couple of other good starting spawns that allow the first kill to be done in 4 seconds or less. If you are on the PS2, you're stuck with restarting until you get a spawn that is near a lasergun, and also has the enemy robot spawning close to you, which actually isn't all that bad.

Since this is the world record strat, you are going to want to start with the absolutly best spawn. Restart until you spawn way on the far side of the stage, which is in the same area you start on in Nice Threads. You want the spawn where you are right in between the two big metal block thingys and are just about on top of the laser gun pickup. Grab the lasergun, switch to it and start charging it up all while moving forward just past the metal thingy on the left. Look left and the enemy robot will pop out from behind the metal thingy. Blast him twice for a first kill in around 3.5 seconds.

From here you are at the mercy of randomness. There are a few things you can do to improve your chances, however. Stay near the middle of the stage, as this allows you to quickly get in range of the enemy robot for most of the possible respawns. You'll also want to memorize the way the enemy robot runs off from each of his respawns(although there are some spawns where he randomly can go in a couple different ways).

There are still a couple things to consider. First, you are going to have to get the damage pickup that's near the main building at some point during the run as it allows you to make one shot kills on the robot for a good length of time. What you want to do is wait until the robot respawns near the main building, the best being on the left side of the building, and kill him while running toward the damage pickup. Grab the pickup, start heading towards the middle of the stage again, and hope the robot spawns near the building again. If he spawns all the way at the other end of the stage, tough luck try again.

Second, there is unfortunatly one place the robot can respawn at that is a run killer. It's the spawn that farthest inside the main building. If you see that he gets this spawn on the radar, you may as well restart because your chances for a nice time just went out the window.

Good luck!
